Terms of Service

1. About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Muteloo ("the Service"), a digital fortune-telling and self-reflection platform operated by [FRIEND'S THAI ENTITY NAME — TO BE FILLED], a company registered in Thailand ("Muteloo," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, making a purchase, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms are available in English, Thai (ไทย), and Korean (한국어). In case of conflict between language versions, the Thai version prevails for users in Thailand and for matters before Thai courts.


2. What Muteloo Is (and Is Not)

Muteloo is an entertainment and self-reflection service that synthesizes three astrological traditions:

  • Western astrology (natal chart)
  • Korean Saju (사주, four-pillars)
  • Thai astrological traditions (มูเตลู, including day-of-birth, color, and merit guidance)

Readings are generated by artificial intelligence based on the birth information you provide. They are intended for personal reflection and entertainment only.

2.1 Muteloo is NOT

  • Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • Mental health counseling or therapy
  • Legal advice
  • Financial, investment, or business advice
  • A substitute for guidance from qualified professionals
  • A prediction of guaranteed future events

You should consult appropriate licensed professionals for medical, legal, financial, or psychological matters. Do not make significant life decisions based solely on a Muteloo reading.


3. Eligibility

3.1 Age requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use Muteloo. By using the Service, you represent that you are 13 or older.

3.2 Users under 18

If you are between 13 and 17, we strongly recommend that you use Muteloo with the awareness of a parent or guardian. Fortune-telling content is for self-reflection only and is not a substitute for guidance from trusted adults or licensed professionals.

3.3 Parental access

A parent or guardian who believes a child under 13 has created an account may contact privacy@muteloo.com for removal.


4. Your Account

4.1 Registration

To use paid features you must create an account using a valid email address and the birth information required for astrological calculation. You agree to provide accurate information. We do not collect your real name, phone number, or government ID.

4.2 Account security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Notify us at hello@muteloo.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4.3 One account per person

You may not create multiple accounts to abuse promotional credits, evade bans, or circumvent payment.

4.4 Account closure

You may delete your account at any time via /settings/privacy or by emailing privacy@muteloo.com. We will permanently delete your data within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention.


5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Submit false birth information with the intent to defraud, harass, or impersonate
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract content from the Service
  • Resell, redistribute, or publicly display reading content for commercial purposes (see Section 8)
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
  • Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without permission
  • Submit content designed to manipulate the AI to produce harmful, illegal, or abusive output
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Misrepresent the Service as professional advice (medical, legal, financial, psychological)

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.


6. Payments

6.1 Pricing

Reading prices are displayed in Thai Baht (THB) before purchase. Prices may change; existing purchased readings are not affected.

6.2 Payment methods

We process payments through Opn Payments (formerly Omise):

  • PromptPay (Thailand)
  • Credit/Debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express)

We do not store your card or banking information.

6.3 Charges

You authorize us to charge the payment method you provide for the reading you purchase. Charges are one-time per reading unless you explicitly subscribe to a recurring plan.

6.4 Subscriptions

If we offer subscription plans, you authorize recurring charges at the stated interval until you cancel. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

6.5 Taxes

Prices include Thai VAT where applicable. International users are responsible for any applicable taxes in their jurisdiction.


7. Refunds

7.0 Right of Withdrawal Waiver (digital content)

When you click "Generate Reading" (or equivalent confirmation), you expressly:

  1. Request immediate performance of the digital service
  2. Acknowledge that performance begins immediately, and
  3. Waive any statutory right of withdrawal that would otherwise apply to digital content provided without a tangible medium, including the 14-day cooling-off period under EU Consumer Rights Directive Art. 16(m) and equivalent provisions under Thai consumer protection law.

This waiver is a condition of receiving an instantly-generated reading. If you do not wish to waive cooling-off rights, do not click "Generate Reading."

7.1 Before generation

If you have purchased a reading but have not yet triggered generation (e.g., scheduled reading, payment completed but reading not yet started, or technical failure prevented generation), you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase by emailing hello@muteloo.com.

7.2 After generation

Once a reading has been generated and delivered to you, refunds are not available, except in the following cases:

  • The Service failed to deliver the reading you paid for (technical failure on our side)
  • The reading was duplicated due to a system error and you were charged twice
  • The reading was halted by our AI safety filter (Section 9.3) — in this case you receive a credit equivalent to the purchase amount
  • We are legally required to issue a refund

This is because the cost of generating a reading (AI inference + content delivery) is incurred at the moment of generation, and you have expressly consented to immediate performance under Section 7.0.

7.3 Subscription refunds

You may cancel a subscription at any time. We do not refund partial subscription periods, but you retain access until the end of the period you paid for.

7.4 How to request a refund

Email hello@muteloo.com with your account email and order ID. We will respond within 5 business days.

7.5 Chargebacks

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in account suspension. Please reach out to us first — we want to make it right.


8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our content

The Service, including its design, text, code, character system, glyphs, prompts, and reading templates, is owned by Muteloo and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

8.2 Your reading content

When you purchase a reading:

  • You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to read, save, and share excerpts for personal, non-commercial use
  • You may share screenshots or your character card on social media (we encourage it)
  • You may NOT sell, republish, or build derivative products from your readings
  • You may NOT use Muteloo readings as the basis for offering fortune-telling services to others

8.3 Feedback

If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.

8.4 Trademark

"Muteloo," "มูเตลู," "무텔루," and our logos and glyph systems are trademarks of Muteloo. You may not use them without our written permission.


9. AI-Generated Content

9.1 How it works

Readings are generated by large language models (Claude, GPT, Gemini, or equivalents) using your birth information and our proprietary prompt system.

9.2 No guarantee of accuracy

AI output may contain inaccuracies, contradictions, or unexpected content. We make no guarantee that readings are predictive, factually accurate, or free of error.

9.3 Safety filters

If your input contains indicators of self-harm, suicide, or crisis, our AI safety system will stop the reading and provide redirect information to professional resources (see Section 10). No refund is required because no reading content is delivered in this case — you will be issued a credit instead.

9.4 Sensitive content

Muteloo readings discuss themes such as love, identity, family, mortality, and life direction. If you are sensitive to such topics, please be cautious about which topics you select.


10. Crisis Safety

If you describe self-harm, suicide, or related crisis content in your input, the Service will stop and provide:

We are not a crisis intervention service. If you are in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services or one of the resources above.


11. Privacy

Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Key points:

  • We do not collect your real name, phone number, or government ID
  • We process data under Thai PDPA and (where applicable) EU GDPR
  • Optional fields (gender identity, sexual orientation, occupation, etc.) are treated as sensitive and require separate explicit consent
  • You have rights to access, correct, delete, and port your data

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION:

  • WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT
  • WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE
  • WARRANTIES THAT READINGS ARE ACCURATE, PREDICTIVE, OR RELIABLE FOR ANY DECISION-MAKING

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all such warranties.


13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Muteloo, its operators, employees, and contractors shall NOT be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Muteloo in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) 1,000 Thai Baht.
  • We are not liable for decisions you make based on reading content. You assume full responsibility for how you use the readings.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.


14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Muteloo, its operators, and partners from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your misuse of the Service
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Your reliance on reading content for medical, legal, financial, or other significant decisions

15. Service Changes and Termination

15.1 Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes affecting paid users.

15.2 Termination by you

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

15.3 Termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior. We will provide notice where reasonably possible.

15.4 Effect of termination

Upon termination:

  • Your access to the Service ends
  • Unused credits are forfeited (except where law requires refund)
  • Your data is deleted within 30 days per our Privacy Policy
  • Sections that by their nature survive termination (e.g., Sections 8, 12, 13, 14, 17) shall survive

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified to users via email and an in-app banner at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.


17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

17.1 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

17.2 Jurisdiction

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Thailand.

17.3 EU/EEA users

Nothing in these Terms removes your statutory rights as a consumer under EU/EEA law, including your right to lodge complaints with your local consumer or data protection authority.

17.4 Informal resolution

Before filing a formal claim, please contact us at hello@muteloo.com. Most disputes can be resolved amicably and quickly.


18. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Muteloo regarding the Service.
  • Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign ours to a successor entity (e.g., in a merger or reorganization).
  • No agency. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, agency, or employment relationship.
  • Force majeure. We are not liable for delays, interruptions, or failures of the Service caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, war, civil unrest, pandemic, government action, internet or infrastructure outages, payment-gateway failure, and outages of third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or equivalents). If a force-majeure event prevents reading generation, we will issue a credit or refund per Section 7.
